THE CD "UH YES UH NO" BY ANDY WARHOL

Andy Warhol in "uh yes uh no" is heard in a monotone loop of phrases, repeated endlessly in four segments of 15 minutes each — quintessential multiples. The recording is a sound painting of enormous dimension and repeat patterns. The phrases are taken from an infamous interview of the early 1960's when Warhol and Ivan Karp were being asked dreadfully long and boring questions by an art reporter — as an answer to every long question, all Warhol would say was either "...uh yes..." or "...uh no..."
